Let The Light In Therapy
Online Therapy Throughout California
Trauma-informed therapy for people who are high-functioning on the outside but carry self-doubt, shame, or a sense of not being enough.
If you struggle with self-worth and feel disconnected or misunderstood, therapy can help you understand why.
Welcome to Let The Light In Therapy
My name is Anna Lacey, and I'm here to help. Trauma casts a dark shadow over life, limiting what we see and how we interpret what we experience. I have worked in the mental health arena for my entire adult life. I grew up in a distressed family system, and it was necessary for me to create a path to healing in order to have a life worth living. I lost a sister to mental illness, so I know firsthand how important it is to address trauma and addiction as well as to create healthy relationships. Nothing is more important to me than passing on what I have learned. I was previously the Clinical Director of a Mental Health Clinic in Sonoma, California.
If you feel stuck in patterns of shame, overwhelm, or feel isolated and misunderstood, you’re not alone—and there’s nothing wrong with you.
Many of the struggles you’re experiencing make sense in the context of what you’ve lived through.
I specialize in working with adults who have experienced complex trauma, including:
chronic emotional invalidation
attachment wounds
anxiety, insomnia, or nervous system dysregulation
patterns of self-criticism or self-sabotage
My approach integrates:
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
trauma-informed therapy
mindfulness and self-compassion
DBT-informed tools for emotional regulation
Together, we’ll work to understand your internal system, build safety from the inside out, and create lasting change.

Healing Through Therapy
Supporting individuals and couples in overcoming mental health symptoms, addiction, and interpersonal challenges with compassion. Please see the "Services" tab for a more thorough understanding of my methodology.
Couples and Family Therapy
Specialized therapy for couples and families. I am here to help you learn to hear each other and be heard. Individuals in relationships can, at times, find themselves in a place where they no longer feel they are on the same team. My methods support improvements with effective communication and an improved ability to trust and feel authentic connection.

Trauma-Informed Care for Individuals
Specialized therapy for people from dysfunctional families. I am here to support a decrease in shame and an increase in self-empowerment. Adults who are brought up in families where criticism was frequent and emotional attunement was scarce can experience challenges with self-worth, self-doubt, addiction, anxiety, depression, and difficulty trusting in others.

Group Therapy
Many people who grew up in dysfunctional or emotionally neglectful environments don’t always realize how much those experiences continue to shape how they feel about themselves.
You may find yourself feeling like something is off, struggling to trust yourself, shutting down emotionally, or feeling like a burden in relationships—even when things look fine on the outside.
This is a small, therapist-led group for people who want to better understand these patterns in a deeper and more meaningful way.
The group integrates a trauma-informed approach, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), DBT-informed skills, mindfulness, and self-compassion. The focus is not on surface-level coping, but on understanding where these patterns come from and developing a more grounded and compassionate relationship with yourself.
Group size is limited to 10 participants. The environment is structured but conversational, and there is no pressure to share beyond what feels comfortable.
